A Walk Around the Planet is an invitation for young children to build a more sustainable world with their little hands.
Thanks to simple questions and movable board pieces, toddlers will get involved in the story created by Martí and Salomó.
The puzzle-like board pieces and die-cuts of every scenery invite the reader to an on-and off-the-page play experience, while cleaning up rivers, protecting the ocean’s floor, building windmills and solar panels, helping animals in the savannah, replanting a forest or building a bridge.
As the African proverb says ”Lots of little people, doing little things, can change the world”. And as we say at Combel: Give me a puzzle piece, and I will move the world!

XAVIER SALOMÓ Illustrator and pop-up designer was born in Sabadell (Barcelona). He studied illustration, drawing and printing at the Escola Massana de Barcelona, and has also studied History of Art at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He has worked for various advertising agencies and as a graphic designer and He collaborates with leading publishers in Spain and France, as well as working on children’s magazines. In 2006 he won the Junceda Prize for the collection Los Sonidos de… (The Sounds of…).
He is the illustrator and paper engeneering of Good Morning & Good Night, Mini Pops, two of Combel’s bestseller series, Baby Pop and Colors series. All of them originated in collaboration with Meritxell Martí.
