Barcelona, Guest City at the Buenos Aires International Book Fair
This year, Barcelona will be Guest City of Honor in Buenos Aires International Book Fair. We’re proud to announce that the authors Jaume Copons, Liliana Fortuny and Bel Olid will be attending the event that will take place from April 23rd to May 13th.“Barcelona, literary city” is the slogan under which the Catalan capital will take part at the most important annual literary event in the Spanish speaking world.
Barcelona will be promoting Catalan language writers to improve the presence of Catalan literature in Latin America and strengthen the cultural ties between Barcelona and Buenos Aires.
The project has been jointly organized by the city councils of both cities, the Catalan government, the Ramon Llull Institute, the Fundación El Libro, the Catalonia’s publishers’ guild and the Editors.cat publishers’ association, among others.
Jaume Copons and Liliana Fortuny are the creators of the bestselling series Agus and Monsters. Jaume is also author of All I Know about… series and the forthcoming title Who Has Done It? with publication in September 2019.
Bel Olid is the the author of Vintage Classics series, winner of the Roc Boronat, Documenta and Qwerty awards, and one of the most important voices of the Catalan generation of the 70’s.
