Celebrating the oceans and the seas with Combel books
World Oceans Day is celebrated every year on 8th June. The UN created this commemoration to raise awareness about the crucial role the ocean plays in our lives. That day also marks a reminder of the urge of preserving and safeguarding our entire blue planet.
In Combel, we advocate for the oceans’ sustaintibily through our EcoSphere books but also with titles that foster their significance from a literary point of view.
The oceans and seas have inspired thousands of stories of pirates, mermaids, sea monsters and misterious islands from Antiquity to the present day. They have also been the setting for great adventures in universal literature such as The Odyssey, The Treasure Island, Moby Dick and One Hundred Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, among others.
The latest adventure of Bitmax & Co series, Hamlet and the Sea, adds to this great legacy and gives it a twist.
Hamlet will take the readers on a journey to discover the sea for the very first time. The Forest people will see for themselves what marine pollution causes and how it affects the inhabitants of the sea. Bitmax, the helper, will do his bit by cleaning the seabed.
