Join the NYC online version of Barcelona’s Sant Jordi Book Fair
The world-renowned Catalan festival devoted to books was about to land in New York when all was swept away by COVID-19.
How could a virus take a fest of books, roses and dragons down?
True to the spirit of Sant Jordi’s Day, the book festival went online with a successful program of cultural events.
This year, it continues online, with a six-day program packed with live cultural activities.
The closing party will take place on Saturday with a kids program of readings and many surprises. Read-alouds are a wonderful way to foster a love for books in our homes. There’s something magical about hearing our favorite authors bring their stories to life.
On Saturday, 24th April at 10:45 AM EST / 4:45 PM GTM+2, Luisa Vera will be doing a reading of Perdut al Museu. We invite you to take a guided virtual tour through Inside the Museum Mazes and surf modern art from wherever you are.
The visit starts right here:
In the meantime, brouse through the program here.
If any of the events piques your curiosity, you can watch it again and again. As many times you want.
We wish you a happy Sant Jordi’s Day
with love, books, dragons and art.
Ps. English edition of Perdut al museu [Inside the Museum Mazes] will be published by Schiffer Books next year.
