Christmas time has arrived. The colorful lights have been turned on, the traditional Santa Llucia Christmas market has been inaugurated next to the Cathedral and carols are playing in the streets. Christmas has also arrived at the bookstore. The shelves are overflowing with novelties.
This year’s campaign is very special for the Combel team. For the first time, we have originated a picture book about the first Christmas in history: the Nativity.
The First Christmas offers families a new and special way to celebrate Jesus’ birth. It is perfect to read aloud during the festive season and beyond. Accompanied by the magical illustrations by Cristina Losantos, is an introduction to the Nativity story that sticks to the Gospels of Matthew and Luke in the New Testament.
To bring the history closer to today’s children, at the end of the book you will find further information about the different ways we celebrate Christmas and the traditions worldwide inspired by the Nativity.
Imbued with the Christmas spirit, the Marketing team together with Patricia Geis have created an accordion calendar desk to send to our dear booksellers. Booksellers are the real pageboys of the Three Wise Men.
To make sure they don’t miss any special dates, each month of the calendar features an illustration by our regular contributors such as Guridi, Patricia Geis, Pep Montserrat Mercè Canals, Ceci Moreno, Susie Hammer, Liliana Fortuny, Betowers, Xavier Salomó and Miguel Ordóñez.
