… To fly, or not to fly, that is the question
Good news before going on holidays. Fly, Bovary! is about to go on print.
The 14th instalment could have been titled The Hen that Wanted to Fly, Identity Crisis, Happy Wings or Run Fast, Fly High!… Why not? Be that as it may, it is clear that the protagonist of Fly, Bovary! is a hen. Like all the inhabitants of the Blue Forest, Bovary is a very special creature. She is not just any hen. Bovary has a dream as old as mankind. She wants to fly. At all costs. No matter what. That’s why she has wings. And luckily, she has a friend like Bitmax.
Bovary struggles to understand why she can’t do it like the other birds in the Blue Forest. She has wings like Deniro, Paul and Sinatra. Indeed, she can flap her wings, even soar, but not for long. Her body is too heavy for such small wings. On the other hand, she runs like hell – she’s the fastest in the forest! Catch her if you can.
Bitmax and the forest people will investigate why hens can’t fly. They think that if she can understand why, she won’t do anything crazy anymore. Here’s the theory. Because Bovary is very, very stubborn. Like Icarus, she will keep trying again and again, even if she fails, even if she hurts herself.
Will Bovary understand why hens don’t fly? Will Bovary accept that she is a hen without a single but? Will Bitmax the helper succeed in making Bovary’s dream come true, at least once?
